School Capacity List 2021

School Capacity List 2021

Per School Board Policy 5.01 (4)(a) & (4)(b), schools projected to be at or exceeding 100% capacity within the next five years are to be identified on a "Capacity Watch List".  Being at or exceeding the 100% utilization mark takes into account those schools with "Available Capacity", which includes concretable (sloped-roof) units.  Wooden and/or temporary leased relocatables, though in some instances may be housing students, are not included in the calculation.
Per policy, the list is to be posted on school websites and Principals are to post this information in a future school newsletter informing parents of the projected utilization of the school.  Your school is projected to be at or above the 100% threshold within the next five years, the 2021 Capacity Watch List may be viewed at the following web link:
The 2021 Capacity Watch List will be accessible via each school's website, by clicking the "District" menu at the upper right hand side of the page, then clicking the "Reports & Publications" link under the "District" header at the left hand side.
Please communicate this information in a future parent newsletter.  Sample language for the newsletter may include the following:

School Board Policy 5.01, Student Assignment, calls for preparation of an annual “Capacity Watch List”. The Capacity Watch List identifies schools where enrollment is projected to reach or exceed 100 percent of capacity in the next five (5) years.

The Capacity Watch List is available on our school's website by clicking the "District" menu and then the "Reports & Publications" link, or via the Student Enrollment & Demographics website at:  www.pbcschoolboundaries.info and then clicking the "Enrollment Projections and Reports" drop-down menu.
Per policy, please also keep a copy of the Capacity Watch List available at your school for parents and/or stakeholders who request this information.  The Capacity Watch List is always available online via the two methods mentioned above.  You may also distribute this information at a future SAC meeting.

Thank you.
